diaphan | 2010 | slide projections in two rooms
3 slide projectors

“In the interaction with the tangible room, Angela Wüst creates spatial irritations by means of the photographic annexation and projection of architectural structures. In a multiple-layered process she projects pictures of observed structures onto the walls of the tangible room. Three-dimensionality is captured on a two-dimensional slide and allows – by means of the projection – for the emergence of new, fictitious spaces. The outcome is a dislocation of  the perspective which is both surprising and unsettling.
The familiar orientation and experience of a room are suspended, yet at the same time, the perception of space and location becomes more focused.”
